RoboDuniya ("we", "us", "our") is a robotics education platform for students, teachers, and kids. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users, especially children under 13.
2. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
RoboDuniya complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
- Children under 13 cannot create an account without a parent or guardian approving via email.
- We do not use analytics cookies for under-13 users.
- No personal data from under-13 users is shared with third parties for advertising.
- Parents can request deletion of their child's data at any time via our data deletion page.
3. What Data We Collect
- Account data: Email address, display name, date of birth (to determine age group)
- Usage data: Pages visited, lessons completed, circuits built, simulation sessions
- User-created content: Robot designs, circuit saves, lesson progress
- Device data: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution (for performance optimisation)
We do NOT collect: real names of children, home addresses, phone numbers, or payment data from students.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the RoboDuniya platform
- To save your robot designs and lesson progress
- To send teachers class activity summaries (opt-in)
- To send parental consent emails for under-13 signups
- To comply with legal obligations
5. Cookies
We use cookies for authentication (required) and optional analytics. You can choose "Required only" in the cookie banner. Under-13 users are automatically limited to required cookies only.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase โ database and authentication hosting
- Vercel โ web hosting
- Legal authorities, when required by law
7. Your Rights
- Access, correct, or delete your data at any time
- Withdraw consent for optional cookies
- Request a copy of your data
- Parents: request deletion of your child's account and all associated data

8. Data Retention
Active accounts: data retained while account is active. Inactive accounts (no login for 2 years): data deleted automatically. Parental consent records: retained for 3 years for compliance purposes.
